Welcome to the Sylvie's Wine Auctions website, the wine auction house in Benelux for buying and selling wine.

At Sylvie's Wine Auctions you get fair auction estimates and purchases rely on solid age-old market principles!

Sylvie's Wine Auctions was established in 1987 by Maurice Meul and his spouse, after whom the auction house was named. Sylvie's Wine Auctions has been specialising in auctioning wines for over 22 years.

One Saturday each month, an auction takes place from noon onwards under the guidance of auctioneer Joris Scott who has been the wine auction house’s business manager since 2007. Consult the calendar for the upcoming auctions.

Sylvie's Wine Auctions is unique

For one thing all wines are available for inspection in our climate-controlled auction room. You can find photos of many lots on our website and we are happy to send you photos on request.

Secondly, the buyer’s premium is only 17,5%, with no additional (hidden) costs. Check the overview to compare us with other auction houses.

Finally, we always pay the seller unconditionally within three weeks after the auction.

The catalogue is published on our website 10 days before the auction takes place.  The prices are shown on a per lot basis, excluding the buyer’s premium.
The wines can be viewed the day before as well as two hours before the auction or by appointment. The auction is free and open to the public and is conducted under supervision of the court bailiff at Italiëlei 21, Antwerp.

Wednesday’s after the auction the auction results are published on the website where you can also view our terms and conditions.

Bids can be placed by three bidding options:
1. In the auction room, after registration and receiving a personal bidding paddle.
2. Bidding online. From the time of publication, it is possible to leave a written bid once online registration is completed. Online bidding is possible up until an hour before the auction starts.
3. Bidding by telephone. After registration and confirmation of the lot numbers, telephone contact is made with you to facilitate bidding participation during the auction

After the end of the auction you can pay and collect your wines immediately. Absentee and telephone bidders receive the result of their bids on the Monday following the auction. Payment for and collection of the purchased wines should be concluded within 7 days of the auction.

Wines can also be shipped to you via insured means. Inquire about the costs. Free delivery applies inside Benelux if a wine purchase exceeds
€ 5,000.-.
