Künstler - vision and perfection

Gunter Künstler has been working for years to make the ripe, vinous Riesling the standard again for wines from the Rheingau, rather than the unpretentiously tasting fruity types that are so often associated with this region.

"This development in the region would be unthinkable without Künstler," according to David Schildknecht, the former main taster for Germany, of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

Künstler has some beautiful vineyards in Hochheim, including the grand cru's Kirchenstück, Hölle and Domdechaney. The Hölle is the showpiece of the Künstler stable, combining fullness with elegance.

Künstler is a terroir expert, a lover of detail, a perfectionist, who prefers to verify even the smallest part of a parcel separately. As far as he can, he does. Gunter's wines are therefore unique and the toppers are almost immortal.

These special Rieslings are at their best after at least 5 to 7 years of cellar rest. It is with great enthusiasm that we present to you this beautiful collection of wines at their optimum.
