December 2012 will not soon be forgotten by Soldera: one night, a miscreant empties almost all the barrels that are maturing in the cellars. Six vintages (2007 – 2012) have been affected and it is precisely from the classic 2010 vintage that only 450 liters can be saved.
The family decides to make a virtue of necessity. They only bottle these 450 liters in large formats (3, 5, 6, 9, 12 & 15 litres) and put the bottles up for auction, whereby the buyer has to choose the right destination for a good cause, such as cancer research.
This mythical wine has never been commercialized and has become a real collector's item. You now have the chance to become the proud owner of a 3 liter bottle with a hand-signed label, if you take your chance on lot 2931.
