Domaine des Murmures
Maximum wine with minimal means: Emmanuel Lançon has a goal in mind when he moves from the Provence to the Jura region: to make the best wines the region has to offer.
After arrival in the Jura region he starts to help befriended winemakers in the vineyards and with vinification. First from 2012 he commences making his own wines in very small quantities. He works the in total 0.8 hectares sized vineyards – planted with Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau – in a minimalist way, with great respect for nature and with maximum terroir expression.
In the cellar as well Emmanuel intervenes as little as possible: no addition of sulfur or nitrogen, no clarification nor filtering of the wines before bottling. The wines are very intense and pure.
Today the wines of Domaine des Murmures are so sought after, that they are nearly impossible to find and get hold of. You can buy these extraordinary wines at our April auction, lots 2541 through 2544. You will find no less than 2 magnums.
