Nicolas Barbou
The son of winemakers Dominique and Veronique Barbou, owners of Domaine des Corbillieres in Touraine, Nicolas has not escaped the wine bug and it is only a matter of time before he makes his own way...
In 2019, he releases his first wine under the name 'Utopie Creative', made from Sauvignon Blanc from his birthplace, Touraine-Oisly. He not only learned the craft from his parents, but also worked at Boisson-Vadot and Jean-Yves Bizot in Burgundy.
His philosophy has therefore been shaped by these great names: respect for terroir and nature, traditional vinification and long ageing in old barrels (including those of Bizot and Coche-Dury!).
The quantities of his 'Utopie Creative' and the new cuvee 'Folie Insolente' are very limited and are already highly sought after by wine lovers of all countries....
